Facilities Manager - Kandahar (KAF), Afghanistan - TAX FREE
A fantastic opportunity has arisen within a leading North American Defence contractor company for a committed and experienced facilities manager to work on the military base in Kandahar (KAF), Afghanistan.
Life on Kandahar is not as austere as one may think; there are over 25,000 people on the base. The base itself is more like a small town and boasts various dining facilities, gyms, a nightclub, Burger King, Pizza hut, Starbucks, a hockey Rink, wireless internet and libraries etc.
The successful Facilities Manager will be responsible for both planned and reactive maintenance management, focusing primarily on building services. Duties will include:
· Overseeing all maintenance work on Kandahar Airbase
· Scheduling, assigning and coordinating work within the section, with other trades, and professionals by identifying priorities and financial restrictions
Personal Requirements:
· Experience of remote sites and/or MOD sites will be a real asset.
· An electrical or mechanical bias will also be beneficial.
Package:
Accommodation, food, laundry, flights etc is all provided.
GBP 50,000 per annum, this is a TAX FREE role.
Rotation will be 3 months in and one month out
