Ramp Manager - Afghanistan
A fantastic opportunity has arisen within a leading international life support services for an experienced and committed Ramp manager to work in Afghanistan.
Prime Objective:
• Ensures operations on the ramp are executed safely and in accordance with the current Task Force Command Operations Orders (OPORD) and Fragmentary Orders (FRAGO).
• Develops flight schedules daily to facilitate delivery of customer’s order in the most effective manner possible
• Coordinate loading and unloading of aircraft onto other aircraft or trucks.
• Works to ensure receipt and delivery of cargo to and from warehouse by air/road to and from Airport.
• Monitors flight traffic and manages/reacts to any Air Control Measures (ACM).
• Performs follow-up and After Action Review (AAR) functions.
• Provides Briefs to Ramp Manager and Contractor Flight Managers on current and future situations.
• Oversees office staff and local staff where applicable.
• Handles local purchase accounts and payments where applicable.
• Liaises with Dispatch, Warehouse and Operational staff to ensure correct and timely cross load of cargo.
• Liaises with airport authorities (i.e. local CAA, UN, DoD, MoD) to ensure compliance with flight regulations and schedules.
• Manages Recording & Reports of Aviation issues and generates Daily Updates, AARs, and Incident reports, and provides measures for improvement/rectification.
• Checks records & reports from Aviation administration in location and ensures correct information is forwarded to HQ for processing/payment
• Meets KPIs set by management to ensure cost effective completion of missions in support of our business.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
• Experience in an aviation related industry
• Experience in a leadership role in an adverse or conflict area, covering personnel management, logistics issues, problem solving and critical thinking
• Ability to work harmoniously in an international, dynamic and multicultural environment.
• Ability to pay close attention to detail and be highly organized.
• Ability to adapt to organizational change in a positive manner and work to tight deadlines.
• Good oral and written communication skills in English.
• Ability to work as team player, reliable, and multi-task.
• Ability to work under pressure and display superb confidence while working with the Air crews.
• Experience in the Military
Preferable Skills and Qualifications:
• Technical Skills in Microsoft office programs, emphasis will be on MS Access, excel, word, power point, outlook, and MS Publisher. Training from a recognized institution of higher learning is preferred with work experience of at least 1 year in an aviation environment. However, demonstrative work proficiency will be acceptable.

$5800 USD per month
