Site Manager - Fuel - Somalia - TAX FREE

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced fuels site manager to work for a leading international Life Support Services company within their operations in Somalia. This will be working alongside the UN.

The successful Site Manager will be responsible for the management and control of the logistics and operational functions of the site which is attached to a UN Compound. To ensure customer demands are met in a timely manner through efficient distribution of products into appropriate UN vehicles and associated oils and lubricants.

Tasks:

· Make sure Fuel supervisor/specialist are trained on all the SOP’s and that their training is registered in their training records.

· Make sure all Fuel specialists are trained on all Health, safety and Environment procedures/plans and documents and that their training is registered in their training records.

· Make sure that the facility is checked and complaint with the Site checklist.

· To communicate all incidents, defects, product non conformances and customer complaints to the Operations Manager

· Coordinate vehicle movement inside the compound. To consider such keys elements as:

· Security

· Accessibility

· Safety

· Manage and administer the day to day requirements of the operation.

· Liaise with security forces on a daily basis to ensure operation IAW the threat level.

· To recommend and discuss with the Ops Manager any improvements to the system/procedures which you think may be beneficial to the company operations and report suggested improvements to the Quality Department

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

· Proven leadership and management experience.

· Proven ability to work in remote, arduous locations

· Advanced computer skills, database management and spreadsheet development

· Knowledge and application of fuel testing processes

· Business process improvement skills and experience.

· Proven ability to lead, manage a fundamental part of an isolated and successful business

· Ability to work in an international, dynamic and multicultural environment.

· Working knowledge of ISO 9001:2000 standards.

· Can adapt to rapid changes in a positive manner and work to tight deadlines.

· Good oral and written communication skills in English are essential.

· Experienced PC User, familiar with MS Office, email and Internet.
