Our client is currently expanding their software development team with the recruitment of a Senior Software Developer to join a busy systems development department working on both internal and client-facing systems.

Reporting to the Systems Development Manager you will be involved in the design and development of Web applications.

This is a technical hands-on role:-

• Design and develop Web applications
• Program software to agreed functional and technical specifications
• Development-based unit testing of produced software
• Maintenance of existing systems and fix software quality issues
• Communicate status of development tasks as required
• Mentor and review development team members

Required skills and experience:

• 3+ years Web development experience in C# and ASP.Net, (2008)
• 2+ years SQL skills, preferably MS SQL-Server 2005/8 (inc. T-SQL)
• Exposure to new technology - e.g. ASP.Net MVC, Entity Framework, Windows Workflow, WPF, WCF
• Experience of working in a source code controlled environment
• Production of quality code to specification and deadlines
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages

Desirable

• Experience of working with  HTML, XHTML, XML, XSLT, JAVA
• Willingness to work towards Microsoft certification
• Awareness of Translation industry and practices
