An exciting opportunity to work for a leading North American Logistics company for a HSE Assistant in Kandahar Afghanistan.
You will proactively provide support, advice and guidance to the Project as a whole through the implementation of a documented Health, Safety and Environmental management system. The role entails auditing the project’s HS&E performance in order to deliver continuous improvement so that the project conforms to the Corporate Policy of creating an expectation that the workplace is injury free. The role is to also interact with project management and staff of each contracted service delivery process.
Dimensions:
The HS&Env. Assistant plays’ a key role in:
• providing support, advice and guidance to the project on all matters relating to a OHSAS18001:2007 & ISO 14001:2004 HS&E management system
• The assistance of project management in achieving standardization of documentation and continuous improvement in workplace safety
• Monitoring, maintaining and progressing the implementation of the HS&E management System. This system will be standardized, complete and compliant to corporate policy.
• Reducing the environmental impact of each contracted service in line with the requirements of the registered management systems and /or AFE-KAF policy’s.
• Auditing the contracted service delivery processes in order to, achieve as a minimum, compliance to the applicable Contract/Statement of Work/Technical Proposal as well as corporate policy.
• Leading and acting as a role model for creating a Safety and Environmentally aware workforce.
The package:
£33k TAX FREE income.

This job is only inside the camps, there will be no times when you are asked to leave the camp.
